The "theory of living space" is one of the fundamental theories of geopolitics, allowing us to understand the peculiarities of the reserves of the autochthonous peoples of the New World. The article is devoted to the study of the territory of the indigenous peoples of Canada from the standpoint of this theory. Tourism sector can be considered a socio-economic activity, deeply embedded in the interaction between aboriginal society and geospacer. The authors explain its role as a tool for achieving geopolitical influence. The aim of the study is to analyze the "theory of living space" in the historical and geographical aspect using the example of the colonization processes in Canada since the beginning of the 17th century. An essential result of the study is the analysis of tourism activities on the territories of the reservations of representatives of the "First Nations" of Canada.
