Terrorist acts in modern Russia

The fight against terrorism is of particular relevance in the context of the intensification of sabotage and terrorist activities on the territory of our country in connection with the conduct of a special military operation. Since the beginning of the special military operation, 419 terrorist acts and sabotage have been prevented, which were prepared by people recruited by international terrorist organizations, Ukrainian special services that fell under the influence of anti-Russian propaganda. There have been more attempts to recruit Russian citizens tode liberately set fire to administrative buildings, transport, energy and industrial infrastructure. The purpose of the study is to consider the situation with terrorist acts and counter-terrorism activities. The object of the research is the prevented and carried out terrorist acts. Research methods include analysis and synthesis, deduction and induction, and the use of published official data on terrorist acts. In the course of the study, the results were obtained. Official statistics reflecting the situation with the implementation and prevention of terrorist acts were used. The largest terrorist acts that could not be prevented are shown. Particular attention is paid to the activities of special services and law enforcement agencies to prevent terrorist acts, to help the families of those killed and injured in the terrorist attack in Krasnogorsk, Moscow Region, at the Crocus City Hall concert hall. Investigations into the financing of terrorism are shown. The main conclusion is that many terrorist acts are organized by Ukrainian and Western special services. The perpetrators are Russian residents and members of international terrorist organizations. In the review of the literature, it should be noted that many works have been published devoted to the analysis of various problems of terrorism – countering terrorism and its ideology, international terrorism, cooperation of states in the fight against terrorism, theory and practice of investigating the financing of terrorism, countering the involvement of young people in terrorist activities through the information and communication network Internet, terrorist crimes. It should be noted that the Rossiyskaya Gazeta and the journal of the Public Council of the Federal Security Service «FSB: Pros and Cons» contain publications that give an objective idea of the danger of the terrorist threat at the present stage.
