Terrorist Act: Proposals for Improving Criminal Law

Effective counteraction to terrorism largely depends on the accuracy and completeness of criminal law norms, which make it possible to adequately assess the degree of public danger of the acts committed and impose fair punishment. The purpose of the article is to analyze the current criminal legislation of the Russian Federation on responsibility for a terrorist act. Based on the study, proposals were formulated to include new qualifying features in Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, reflecting modern trends in terrorist crime.
