Текст научной статьи The developing directions of studying foreign languages
There are many methods of studying foreign languages for any age category today. Not all children have a foreign language easily.
In the current development of the economic, social and scientific technological component of human life, the study of foreign languages is a priority for every person. The ability to rely on gaming activities allows you to provide a natural motivation for activities in a foreign language, to make interesting and meaningful even the most elementarystatements.
There are many methods of studying foreign languages for any age category today. The specificity of the subject - a foreign language requires students to have intense mental activity, attention. Not all children have a foreign language easily. There are pupils who hardly learn pronunciation, intonation of sentences, do not remember the structure of speech patterns. One of the developing directions of studying foreign languages is the game method of teaching.
The game method of teaching is an interesting and effective method in the organization of student learning activities, especially at the first stage of language training. The game is a leading activity in children of four to five years. By six or seven years, it is replaced by training activities, but the role of the game remains, is still great. Kids are attracted by the school, but the most natural for them are playful moments of activity, direct communication with adults and object visualization. The ability to rely on gaming activities allows you to provide a natural motivation for activities in a foreign language, to make interesting and meaningful even the most elementary statements.
Based on the development of info communication and information technology to date, the concept of the game in a conceptual order has changed its meaning. To all this there is a lot of evidence of a positive impact on the learning process among school-age children. For example:
-
• Scientists from the Texas A & M University (university projects are funded, in particular, by NASA, the National Institute of Public Health, the National Science Foundation, etc.) conducted a large-scale study on computer games. At the end of the study, university scientists recognized that computer games improve memory, observation, the ability to better remember and process the information received.
-
• Scientists from the Singapore University of Technology tested a large group of volunteers who, under the supervision of researchers, played a variety of virtual games for a month, an average of 2-3 hours a day, 5 days a week. After the expiration of the study period, all the volunteers participating in the experiment were tested by psychologists. It turned out that during the past month practically all subjects had improved memory, attention, decision-making speed, observation and analytical thinking. And most importantly: most of the participants in the experiment have learned much better to find non-standard solutions to complex problems - both logical and every day, life.

• Professor Mark Griffiths of Nottingham Trent University conducted a study on computer games, during which it was found that games contribute to better coordination, make people more purposeful and develop self-confidence. The professor said: "There is no evidence that video games, if conducted after a moderate amount of time, have a negative effect on a person."
In addition, the place of old board game was occupied by computer games, so interest in games also changed its genres in a peculiar way. Single games were replaced by multiplayer online games.
Multiplayer online games. (English Massively Multiplayer Online Game, MMO, MMOG) is a networked computer game played by a large number of players (at least several dozen, often thousands, sometimes hundreds of thousands) is a new concept of classic online games. This type of game is very convenient when learning foreign languages by the fact that players from all over the world participate in the game, so you will have a chance to communicate with native speakers. Thus, you can overcome the language barrier, because you are so passionate about the game that you forget about your fears and embarrassment.
The advantage of this gaming platform is the fact that this technology can freely exist in cloud technologies and thereby reduces the risk of uncontrolled use of children's game resources.
