Apprenticeship, which is an archaic expression form of the word apprentice in our oral literature, is the name of the vocational training method in the classical training system. The history of the emergence of this method, called chirag in medieval Turkic-language sources, dates back to the ancient Egyptian and Mesopotamian periods. This ancient form of training, which was mainly a mechanism for instilling a love of labor in a child and teaching a profession, was later applied in every field of art. As a result, a special relationship system called master-chirag or master-apprentice was formed in ancient and medieval history. Such a learning method, which has been preserved mainly in the art of ashug in our country, continues to this day as the main vocational training method in many Eastern countries.
Apprenticeship, apprentice, master, craftsman, lodge, education, etc.
