The technology of surgical treatment of patients with chronic osteomyelitis

The technology of surgical treatment of patients with chronic osteomyelitis is presented. The component treatment techniques of the technology allow to solve successfully the problems of chronic purulent infection stopping and those of maximally possible limb anatomic-and-functional recovery in complex, without using massive doses of antibacterial drugs and at a single stage, that reduces treatment periods significantly and excludes recurrences in most cases. The techniques of osteosynthesis developed, as well as the ways of controlling reparative process are technological and easily performed by specialists, handling transosseous osteosynthesis fundamentals with skill, that gives the possibility to use them widely in clinical practice.
