Typical methods of committing fraud using mobile devices

The public danger of illegal drug trafficking is considered through harmfulness and precedent setting, as well as through social, political, economic and psychological aspects. Statistical data on the state of crime in the field of illegal arms trafficking and its use for criminal purposes are analyzed.of which the conclusion about the full-structured method of committing the analyzed crime is argued. The author’s classification of ways to commit fraud using mobile communication means is proposed according to the following criteria: way of receiving money by fraudsters; technologies used in committing crimes; criminal acts committed; source of origin of the money that is the subject of fraudulent actions; legends invented by the criminal. The actions of fraudsters in the stages of preparation, commission and concealment of crime are described, presenting the most common schemes of fraud using mobile communication means. Special attention is paid to mechanisms of psychological influence on the victim and ways of protection against fraudulent actions.
