In the modern world, a person is surrounded by a variety of information and communication technologies. Technology accompanies humanity throughout its historical path. It precedes the emergence of science and contributes to its emergence, while science determines the further development of technology. Technology can be pre-scientific, almost scientific, scientific and non-scientific in accordance with different types of knowledge. Technology can be based on irrational and rational (traditional) knowledge. In accordance with the methods of cognition and transformation, technologies are divided into production and non-production technologies. Information and communication technologies and their modern unification have a special place in non-production technologies. This article is devoted to the construction of a typology of information and communication technologies, because the construction of a typology, and in some cases classification, is important for self-determination and self-assessment of a person in the modern world, as well as for determining the capabilities of a person or specialist from the point of view of their environment.
