Peculiarities of financing federal state public institutions

The article describes how various types of budgetary institutions appeared in the Russian Federation. The features of their financial and economic activity are considered. Particular attention is paid to the regulatory legal support for obtaining grants for the implementation of the scientific potential of federal state educational institutions. The authors concluded that at present this procedure is overly complicated and proposed changes that need to be made to the legislation to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the use of this source of funding for scientific research conducted in federal state educational institutions.
