Types of poetic translation

Poetic translation is studied on the basis of the principle of text typology which includes the analysis of typological properties of the poetic text, its typological dominant and processes of their representation in the target text. The typological dominant is interpreted as a category of poeticity which includes such typological parameters of the poetic text as its idea, image and aesthetically valuable linguistic form. The measure of understanding the poeticity of the source text and its representation in the target text serves as a basis for distinguishing consonance, consonance-dissonance and dissonance types of poetic translation.
