Types of treatment of non-psychotic mental disorders in liquidators of consequences of CHAPS accident and efficacy of treatment-preventive measures

536 liquidators of ChAPS accident have been examined. All patients exposed to small doses of radiation had mental disorders of organic register. Analysis of clinical dynamic shows progressive worsening of state of mental and somatic health of these patients, decrease of quality of life, resistance of mental disorders toward the therapy. Significant increase of influence of social and somatogenic factors on course of these mental diseases has been revealed. Principles of rehabilitation of patients exposed to small doses of radiation with mental disorders have been developed; differentiated rehabilitative programs, heightening efficacy of treatment-preventive measures including psychopreventive, psychotherapeutic, psycho-pharmacological, immunorehabilitative, and physiotherapeutic and sociotherapeutic complexes have been proposed.
