Tengrian religion and northern Buddhism of one vehicle (Ekayana) in the Buryat-Mongolian martial arts school Shonyn-Basha

The article analyzes the religious and philosophical foundations of the Buryat-Mongolian martial school.Shonyn-Basha.. We considered the historical and cultural processes of synthesis and interaction of Buryats and Mongols’ national religion Tengrism (.religion of Eternal Blue Sky.) with Northern Buddhism of Ekayana (.One Vehicle.) as an integral unity of the philosophy and practice of Vajrayana (Tantra) and Mahayana. The specific Tengrian-Buddhist civilization of the Inner Asian peoples - Buryats, Mongols, Kalmyks and other peoples of Mongol-speaking group, as well as Turkic-speaking Tuvas was appeared in the era of Genghis Khan as a result of this interaction. A crucial role in this synthesis plays the fact, that "Tengrism" and Buddhism have the same ethnic and cultural origin. The roots of these close religious traditions go back to the primordial Aryan-Turanic religion of proto-Mongols and proto-Turks. This primordial religion originates in Altai- Sayan ethnic and cultural zone of South Siberia, which is the ancestral home of Turkic- Mongolian Tengrism, so-called Aryan religion (it give rise to Indian Buddhism), and the cradle of the whole Eurasian nomadic (pastoral) civilization. The principles of unity and integrity of Tengrian-Buddhist civilization have been vividly manifested in the Buryat- Mongolian martial school.Shonyn-Basha. (.Heavenly Wolf Style.). Great Guru Padmasambhava, an 8th-century Indian Buddhist master, who have made a significant contribution to development of Tibetan Buddhism, is of greate reverence among the followers of all Mahayana Northern Buddhist schools, and particularly -in Red Cap traditions of Nyingmapa (Buddhist Nyingma reveres him as the second Buddha). He emphasized the proximity and relatedness of Tengrism, including pre-Buddhist religion of Tibet - Bon with the Buddha's teachings. These philosophical and methodological principles are still fundamental in the modern school.Shonyn-Basha.
