Toponymy of China as a subject of cultural analysis

The toponymy of China is a unique cultural phenomenon of many thousands of years, distinguished by a unique national flavor, due to various socio-cultural factors. The article focuses on the political landscape, cosmogonic factors in the formation of toponymy. The culturological approach to the study of China's toponymy is in demand in connection with the urgent need to recreate the ethnocultural picture of China in the Russian Sinology.
