The article is devoted to small genre forms in the prose of the famous Siberian writers V. Rasputin, V. Astafyev. The semantic structure of works of these prose writers is considered through the prism of topos analysis. The author considers that the ontological basis, well-known to researchers of texts, is connected with semantic impulses which have not always been reflected, but they influence integrity of the narration. First of all it is the topos of a ring dance, which exists in the analyzed texts in an undeveloped, intuitive form, Rasputin embodies it in the corresponding motive, Astafyev - in the lexical-semantic field the core of which is the concept of "ring dance". The purpose of the research is to analyze “the structure of the artistic content” (according to M. Bakhtin) of literary texts written by the most well-known Siberian “traditionalist” writers V.Astafyev and V. Rasputin. In particular, the author analyzes text representation of the system of topoi (relatively stable structural-semantic models) which can be implemented in art images, motives, concepts, symbols, etc. The author comes to the conclusion that the writers' concentration on the topos of a ring dance, which has different text embodiments, becomes a sign of expressing an eschatology of art thinking in the XX century. At the same time, it is clear that a big prose writer's world of art is determined by personal art mythology which+ influences creative identity affecting the organization and execution of the narration as well as the content of key topoi.
