Traditions and innovations in contemporary festive culture: problem to the example of Siberia

Modern society aware of the importance of tradition as a mechanism for the continuity of culture and history of the ethnic group. In this regard, special significance have phenomena of neo-traditionalism: reconstructed ethnic costumes, housing, places of worship, decorative arts, national cuisine, folklore, festivals, which can be seen ethnic stereotypes, the political views of the organizers. At the beginning of XXI century, in the era of globalization, urbanization, etc., of interest is the analysis of the phenomenon of neo-traditionalism, where ethnic traditions in one form or another back to modern society. The problem is interpreted as traditionalism today when interrupted the evolution of popular culture and no living informants. The organizers of the festivals, exhibitions, public events dedicated to revival the folk traditions often do not address to quality authentic materials, collected directly by researchers in ethnographic expeditions, and simulate national identity. Topicality researches of the traditionalism and neo-traditionalism phenomena is especially important now for understanding, when we have not the universal recipes of modernization. But violent arrangements of a research could lead to conflict with the organic development of the society and deprive him of self-selection.
