Traditions of Mongolian studies in the regional historiographies in XIX-XXI centuries

The article is devoted to the problems of development of Mongolian historiography in Russia and in the Baikal region at the beginning of XXI-st century. It identifies the main chronological milestones in the development of Mongolian studies in Russia. The author singles out features of the formation of Mongolian historiography in the Baikal region. The development of the Buryat Mongolian studies is shown.
