Polish researchers pay special attention to the challenges for modern civilization. They note that Western liberal culture has a powerful influence on Polish society. Despite of the ongoing secularization, the increasing break with the model of traditional family, the relativistic morality, values of consumer society and, many Poles are still being conservative towards all these spheres and stand for the preservation of the Polish national identity. Traditional virtues have a lot of active advocates that include as the Polish clergy of the Roman Catholic Church as the scholars and teachers, publicists and politicians. A significant part of the Polish voters supported the conservative Law and Justice party (PiS) in the elections of 2015. Nevertheless, the researchers draw attention to the fact that the situation in Polish society remains tense. It is caused by an acute political struggle that derives from the clash of two value paradigms.
