Tragedy" Crime and punishment ": from Mussorg to Shostakovich "

The article is devoted to the theme "Crime-punishment" in the works of two great Russian composers - Musorgsky and Shostakovich. The paper attempts to compare the attitude of the two composers to this topic and to reveal the peculiarities of the method of embodiment of complex human nature in musical compositions. The theme of the study of the psychology of the criminal, which passes through the thread through all the work of Dostoevsky is implemented in the religious and philosophical tragedies of Musorgsky and Shostakovich through the prism of the Orthodox existential tragedy.
