The tragedy in the context of the power-structure theory of the genres

The poetics of the tragedy is for the first time examined in the context of the powerstructure theory of the genres. That permits, firstly, to base the supposition about the presence of the united principle of the triple-based polyphony for the genre of the tragedy and the genre of the polyphonic novel. Secondly, the article reveals the difference between the polyphony of the tragedy and the polyphony of the novel. In the antique tragedy the voice-position of God (of the Truth) predominates. In the tragedy of the Renaissance the voice-position of the person prevails. The tragedy of the classicism returns to the voice-position of God, but this position is complicated by the voiceposition of the person. In the polyphonic novel of Dostoevsky the voices-positions of the opponent and of the person vacillating predominate.
