Transformations of modern family and psychological-psychiatric problems of society

This presentation is devoted to consideration of social-psychological, demographic, genetic factors determining tendencies of development of the modern family, problems conditioning disturbances of health of its members as well as resources of clinical psychiatry, addiction psychiatry, psychology and genetics. Up-to-date information about demography have been presented, alternative models of family viewed in the modern society with transformation of family functions, roles and functioning are described; deviations of family systems have been emphasized; basic biological (genetic) components of health being the basic predictor of onset and development of multifactor deviations of mental and psychological health of members of the family are defined. Psychological- psychiatric (personality and family), clinical-genetic-population, ethical-humanitarian, scientific-organizing and other aspects of resolution of problems of mental health of the family are discussed.
