The article analyzes the competence range of vocational training for bachelors of library and information activities in a developing digital library environment and a global digital society. The content of the draft of the professional standard "Specialist in the field of library and information activities" through work functions and actions, the necessary knowledge and skills is reviewed in detail. The transformation of the emerging “digital” competencies of industry bachelors in the third generation educational standards is presented. The conclusion is made about the possibilities of filling the list of formed professional competencies based on the analysis of the practice and requirements of employers for graduates.
