Transformation of human resources in the agro-industrial complex in the context of technological development is a critical condition for ensuring food security, increasing competitiveness and sustainable development of the agrarian sector. The study showed it to be a complex process aimed at providing the industry with specialists with the competencies necessary to work with new technologies and solutions, which required changes in approaches to education, training, retraining and management of human resources. The article analyzes the state of human resources in the agro-industrial complex in the context of modern challenges of technological development, identifies a number of problematic aspects, such as a shortage of qualified personnel with knowledge and skills in the field of information technology, robotics, genetics, etc. The discrepancy between educational programs and labor market needs, the aging of personnel and the outflow of youth from rural areas, as well as the insufficient development of the system of continuous education and retraining of personnel are noted. Promising areas for solving the identified problems are outlined, including the modernization of educational standards and programs, the development of seamless education and cooperation with agricultural enterprises, the creation of competence centers and technology parks, the attraction of young specialists and the creation of favorable conditions for their work and life in the rural areas. Currently, the state is making efforts to create new mechanisms for regulating the personnel situation in the agrarian sector. Various programs and projects for training and supporting personnel are being developed and implemented, in particular, the national project "Personnel" has been launched, the implementation of which, with the joint efforts of the state, business and educational institutions, will create an effective system for training personnel that meets needs of the modern economy and contributes to increasing the competitiveness of Russia in the world market.
