Transformation of the model of ancient mythin the drama of Jean Anouil "Eurydice"

The article is devoted to the study of the features of the transformation of themyth of Orpheus in the play of the French playwright Jean Anouil (1910-1987) "Eurydice". The tragedy was created in 1941 and became the first dramaticwork in which the author used the model of ancient myth as a structural basis. Then came such works as "Antigone" (1942) and "Medea" (1946). The modelof ancient myth allows the playwright to transfer a rather everyday situation toanother plane, to see in the ordinary - the eternal, in the everyday - high andsublime. What is the peculiarity of the transformation of the model of ancientmyth in the play of Jean Anouil? An attempt to answer this question was madein this study.
