The transformation of an image of the Russian state among young people and network factors of its formation

The article deals with the formation of the Russian state image among young people, including its network factors. The study combines online survey and online monitoring data cross-analysis. During the first stage, young Internet users’ opinion was identified on six key elements of the image of the state. The survey materials made it possible to develop indicators for assessing the state and its elements by social networks online monitoring, carried out by IQBuzz on-line service. As a result, the authors determined structural, functional and symbolic characteristics of the image of the Russian state among young people. The key difference between the Russian state image among young people and among older generations is presented by three new attributes. These are constant efforts to improve the living standard, ensuring public dialogue and feedback from the society, as well as governmental decision-making transparency. The study summarizes that these characteristics need further research and development
