The organic substance transformation of the forest ground litter (experimental research)

The results of the model experiment on the assessment of the intensity and ratio between carbon flows during the soil organic matter decomposition are considered in the article. It is shown that in the mineralization of the ground litter of different coniferous and deciduous forest-formers, its participation in the total СО 2 flow from the soil into the atmosphere varies from 31 to 65%. The synthesis of humic substances accounts for 9 to 25% carbon weight emitted due to decomposition.
