Transformation of the role of career in the system of life values of modern youth

This article discusses the key aspects of the concept of career, changing its role in modern youth. The research is based on the analysis of respondents ' attitude to career, which was made based on the results of a survey among 1st-year students. The article presents the main strategies of career development, describes one of the types of career activity - downshifting. It is concluded that in the modern world, the main goal of all career activities is to ensure a high material base and financial independence.
