The article analyzes the current state of the Russian insurance market. The influence of digital technologies on the Russian insurance market is noted. The ways of development of the Russian insurance market in the conditions of external sanctions are considered. To overcome the sanctions impact on the Russian insurance market, it is proposed to pay attention to consumer preferences in the insurance market. The key task of insurance companies is becoming an effective response to changing consumer demands and the transition from the traditional model of product promotion to the concept of customer-centricity.
