Transnational corporations and the state: cooperation based on a balance of interests to achieve the image of the future of Russia

The article systematizes the changes in the behavior of foreign TNCs on the Russian market that occurred in 2022, which radically changed the relationship of the Russian state with them, identifieds the factors that influenced the decisions of TNCs, shows the existence of the phenomenon of self-sanctioning and proposed its definition. The authors propose a new model of interaction between the state and foreign TNCs, based on horizontal ties, involving interaction on equal terms to achieve a fair balance of interests. According to the authors, as moving towards a multipolar world it will displace the previously common model of interaction based on vertical connections, implying relationships of the leader-outsider type.
