Целью научной работы явилось обоснование актуальности проблемы трансплантационного туризма, то есть способа получения реципиентом органа для трансплантации, минуя национальные листы ожидания, путем привлечения на коммерческой основе донора из другого государства. Авторами проведен анализ литературных источников, затрагивающих вопросы распространения трансплантационного туризма в странах мира, предпосылок его существования и рассматривающих возможные варианты предотвращения подобной практики. Подчеркивается необходимость развития трансплантологии на основе принципов безвозмездности органных пожертвований и справедливости подбора реципиентов.
