Transportation municipal units: issues of regulatory and legal regulation and efficiency

The article presents the features of the legal regulation of municipal unitary enterprises in the field of transport services in conjunction with the practice of their activities in municipalities. The article analyzes the norms of the Federal Law “On the General Principles of Organization of Local Self-Government in the Russian Federation”, the Federal Law “On State and Municipal Unitary Enterprises” and other normative legal acts, relevant scientific works on the stated problems, materials on the practice of transport municipal unitary enterprises. It is noted that in many municipalities, municipal unitary enterprises are the main, and often the only, economic entities in the considered area of public relations, which determines the specifics of their legal and economic status; the proposals for improving this status are substantiated.
