The article defines the concept of "brand" and lists the most expensive brands in Russia and the world. It examines the stages of brand assessment and defines an international standard according to which the brand value is calculated. It identifies current branding trends in the marketing communications system and formulates the most important elements of brand management that companies need to pay attention to when building an effective brand.
