The third wave of feminism: sources, practical prospects

The article reveals the range of theoretical as well as objective sources of third-wave feminism, which is a component of the Western project of political correctness. The authors come to the conclusion that the content of modern feminism is in many ways a continuation of the feminist trends that preceded it in time. However, today it takes hypertrophied forms, turning into a kind of antithesis of Western society. The idea of further emancipation of women often takes the form of extremist tendencies, and the implementation of feminist practices, which has moved to the level of male discrimination, contradicts the feminine essence, which leads not to the formation and approval of a new structure of gender relations, but to their deformation. The destruction of the traditional gender order is one of the causes of radical forms of feminism. The processes of emasculation of masculinity are prepared by a set of historical conditions, which is a symptom of the disease of Western civilization. In the modern world, these processes are interconnected with forms of radical feminism, working for mutual reinforcement. As a result, the habitual system of relations between the sexes is destroyed, which leads to an internal weakening of the advanced Western society, and also worsens the position of the Western world in the civilizational confrontation
