A central problem of Marxist philosophy, the question of human freedom, is examined in this paper. The author touches on such topics closely related to the problem of freedom in Marxism as the status of man in the world, his role in relations with nature, society and in his own destiny. The key thesis of the article is that the Western capitalist society, in fact, did not solve the problem of human freedom, and Karl Marx opened a new way to achieve it from a historical point of view. The author identifies and analyzes three aspects of this concept that constitute the main content of the Marxist theory of historical freedom. The first aspect is individual natural freedom, the second is practical rational freedom in social relations and the third is complete freedom. It is summarized that according to the position of Karl Marx, the realization of human freedom does not consist in the achievement of a certain final state, but in the intermediate process of the destruction of private property, which restricts the true freedom of humanity. he negative influence of private property is neutralized by the communist movement. Freedom is achieved by overcoming the process of unfreedom.
