Three mentalities and three approaches to interpreting of gravity anomalies

Ideology, technological features and geological possibilities of three main approaches to interpretation of gravity anomalies are analyzed: mathematical algebraic, physics-geological and statistical. Mathematical complication of incorrect inverse problems of gravity potential does not always provide unambiguous reflections of a geological structure of complex media. However the sharpest lines of their structure can be found and described in space by means of the formalized statistical procedures, using analytical connection of elementary gravity anomalies with parameters of simple disturbances. Using statistical images of geological bodies or structures as models of zero approach to density models significantly narrows the area of equivalence (ambiguity) of decisions.
