The author analyzes the ideas of three “prophets”: J.Huxley, J.B.S. Haldane and J.D. Bernal, who became the foundation for later theories of modern ideologists of transhumanism: R. Kurzweil, N. Bostrom, J. Hughes, W. Bainbridge and others. The main ideas are: the concept of controlled evolution, genetic engineering (eugenics), the human enhancement project, postgenderism, “new ethics”, progressivism and the idea of the man-machine interface. It is concluded that, although modern transhumanists position themselves as supporters of innovation (neophilism) and progress (more precisely, techno-optimism), the analysis of their ideas fixes the lack of novelty, i.e. transhumanists of the second half of the XX century - early XXI century did not create ontologically new ideas, but in fact only continue to develop the already formulated provisions in the theories of J. Huxley, J.B.S. Haldane and J.D. Bernal, using mostly the situation of increasing convergent technologies.
