Using data on the first substorm phase, we have obtained coefficients of the linear connection between the magnetic flux of tail lobes Ψ and the solar wind parameters (electric field E m and dynamic pressure P d). A description is given of sequences of the main substorm processes observed during the substorm: MR1 (reconnection in the closed tail), CD/SCW (formation of crosstail current disruption and longitudinal current of the current wedge) and MR2 (reconnection in tail lobes). We have concluded that pseudobreakups are developed during the loading phase of substorm in different regimes: the first type of pseudobreakups starts in the distant tail and propagates towards the Earth; the second one starts in the middle tail, whereas the third one partially covers the entire tail almost simultaneously. We have proved that most substorm energy is released in the near-Earth tail (where CD/SCW form) during the expansion phase. We have revealed two successive intervals EP1 and EP2 during the substorm expansion phase. The MR1 development is accelerated unevenly in EP1; a few minutes later, the second jump - the MR2 development - is observed. During EP, MR1/MR2 processes have been proved to develop simultaneously: in the near-Earth, middle and then in the distant tail.
