Формирование тромбов в артериях, венах, полостях сердца и их эмболия в разные органы является причиной развития инфарктов миокарда, инсультов, тромбоэмболии легочной артерии. Тромбы и тромбоэмболии ежегодно являются причиной смертности и инвалидизации многих миллионов людей. Проведение своевременных и правильных профилактических мероприятий позволяет предотвращать преждевременную смерть, увеличитьпродолжительность жизни, улучшить ее качество, а так же снизить экономические затраты общества на лечение и реабилитацию.
