Female textile workers’ labour in the factory legislation of pre-revolutionary Russia (1861-1904)

The article considers the data on pre-revolutionary factory laws on the second half of the 19th - the early 20th century. The study’s based on all-Russia legislative sources and regional materials for the Yaroslavl province, a typical provincial region of the Central Industrial District which leading industry was textile one. The author focuses on the gender aspects of the labour legislation and highlights the less protected categories of factory workers.
