Difficulties in translating books of fiction from English

The article discusses the main difficulties encountered in translating fiction from English into Russian. Special attention is paid to the problems of transmitting cultural realities, stylistic features and the author's style of writing. The results of the author's research based on the analysis of translations of works by famous English-speaking writers are presented. The conclusions of the article include recommendations on the use of various translation methods to achieve equivalence and adequacy of translation.
