This paper analyzes the demographic situation in the Republic of Uzbekistan, identifies the causes of migration. The analysis of the number of arrivals from the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Volga Federal District and those who left back is given. The foundation has been laid for future research on labor migration from the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Volga Federal District.
