Labor resources as a strategic potential of the regional economy

The priority direction of strategic planning and management of the region in all historical periods remained the task of providing labor resources. In modern conditions, in addition to quantitative indicators of provision, issues of labor force qualification and the ability to adapt to changing conditions are of great importance. The emerging economic growth of the Smolensk region is faced with the problem of labor force shortage. The article analyzes the current situation, identifies the main factors of influence and proposes measures to reduce the problem of providing the region with labor resources.
