Tourism as a promising direction of the Russian state cultural policy

The article deals with the tourism development problems as a promising component of the Russian Federation state cultural policy. The importance of tourism for the knowledge and preservation of the great cultural heritage accumulated by many country generations is determined. The tourism processes dynamics is analyzed in accordance with the strategic idea of the Russian Federation sustainable development. The Russian tourism industry indicators primary analysis in recent years is carried out on the basis of the Federal State Statistics Service reliable and publicly available factual data. The importance of tourist destination monitoring is noted for the subsequent assessment of the effectiveness implementation of the state cultural policy within the tourism sector.
