Tourism in Russia social and cultural modernization context

The author analyzes the modern trend and compelling issues of tourism and services development in the context of the most significant trends of the social and cultural modernization of Russia. Much attention is paid to the important aspects of the history of culture tourism development in the Russian Empire and the USSR, the role of tourism in solving the urgent social and humanitarian problems, the revival of the spiritual and moral fundamentals and cultural values of society.
