Creative legacy of G.M. Vasiliev as the reflection of literary criticism problems in 1950-1960 years

The scientific and artistic value of the works from G.M. Vasiljev (1908-1981), one of the major philologians of Yakutia (Sakha), is proven by the lively interest to his works as to a source of scientific knowledge and progressive ideas. He is a professional translator, history and poetic folklore researcher. A special attention is given to his community-educational literature works, representing the protection of unique manuscripts of artistic and scientific character. As a literature evaluator he went through many difficult stages and through difficult times around the middle of the XX century, but discovered a bright usage to his talent, erudition, searching mind by figuring out ways to a better scientific self-expression.
