The works of A.P. Chehov as the sphere-source of the precedent phenomena in the modern Russian mass media

The article deals with the results of the study conducted on the texts of the modern Russian mass media. There are revealed the peculiarities of functioning the precedent phenomena with the sphere-source “fiction literature”, related to the works of A.P. Chehov. There are analyzed the different ways of including the precedent phenomena in mediatext and their semantic and pragmatic potential.
