U-Pb age of the Malyko plagiogranites (Polar Urals)

First data on the age of plagiogranites spread in the zone of metamorphosed gabbronorites of the Malyksky Complex are given. It is located in the eastern part of the Hadatinsky Ophiolite Massif in the Polar Urals. The concordant U-Pb age of five zircon crystals is 451?b14 Ma and fixes the beginning of granite forming of the Schuchinskaya Zone. Equivalence of U-Pb age of the plagiogranites to K-Ar age of amphibolites (458?b24 Ma) confirms the geological data of their simultaneous generation due to amphibolite metamorphism of gabbronorites.
