Murder as a type of crime: features regulations in criminal legislation of Russia (historical aspect)

Murder at all times of human civilization has been and is a serious crime. Moreover, each country has its own peculiarities of legislative regulation of liability for its commission at different stages of history. The article examines the legal technique used by the legislator in describing the elements of murder and the punishment provided for its commission in the basic criminal laws that were adopted during the periods of the Moscow State (Conciliar Code of 1649) and the Russian Empire (Code of Criminal and Correctional Punishments of 1845, Criminal Code of 1903). An analysis of the relevant norms of these legal acts is presented, their comparison is given, appropriate generalizations are made, it is noted, in particular, that in Russian criminal laws there is no stability in resolving the issues under study, which to a certain extent was due to the influence of the subjective factor in Russia, where absolutist political regime. At the same time, the conceptual provisions generally retained continuity, as well as some words and expressions inherent in the Russian language.
