Murders committed in greed are first degree murders in relation to the motive of execution. Excitation from which a criminal offense is committed, is in fact part of the motif of execution, and this explain the reasons why did a perpetrator committed this act. In first degree murder motive is of the importance for qualification of circumstances and it is necessary in any particular case to determine its existence, because otherwise there would be usually murder. In the theory of criminal law there is no uniform understanding of the concept of greed. In this respect, we came in contact with few definitions of the term greed, and self-beliefs. The paper also discusses the views and opinions of prominent criminal law theorists in relation to the idea of murder in greed. Examples from judicial practice are confirming this view. In this context, the results of the research that the author of this work carried out in the District Court in Novi Sad, were presented in this work. Similarities and differences between the murder in greed and murder in the execution of armed robbery and larceny were presented in this paper, and it was dedicated to the appropriate attention. In conclusion, it was pointed out that the decisive condition for the murder in greed is existence of greed.
