In this article participation of the Russian commercial banks and international financial institutions in project financing is considered. Tendencies and the directions of cooperation of Russia with the leading international financial institutions within project financing are defined. The main participants among the Russian commercial banks are revealed. Recommendations for increase in efficiency of project financing in the Russian market are made.
