The participation of Russian athletes in the Olympic games 2018: the political dimension

The article analyzes the political aspects of the participation of Russian athletes in the Olympic Games in Pyeongchang under neutral symbols. Based on the experience of the Olympic boycott of 1984 in Los Angeles and the principles of Olympism the authors made conclusions about the position of the Russian leadership and Russian athletes towards entering the 23th winter Olympic Games.
